Former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte was arrested on Tuesday at Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport following an order from the International Criminal Court (ICC), which is investigating a crime against humanity filed against the former chief.
Duterte, 79, was arrested at Philippines airport after his trip to Hong Kong, reports the Associated Press.
The ICC has investigated “massive killings that occurred under the deadly repression of the former president against illegal drugs,” said the AP via the office of President Ferdinand Marcos.
