A Kerala -based technician recently shared his ideas on the reasons why most job seekers fail to obtain offers and to secure employment. The technician, identified as Abhishek Nair of Kerala, revealed his ideas of a conversation with a recruiting friend.

“Recently, during an occasional cellar competition, one of these recruiting friends – who manages hiring for a Lean travel technology startup – shared the 6 biggest reasons why most job seekers are never hired. With the current labor market in defensive mode, even the best talents are struggling to be hired,” Nair wrote on X.

But what are these errors because of which almost 90% of job seekers are unable to obtain offers? First, the lack of practical experience when it is much easier to create websites and projects.

“You don’t need to create the next Facebook or Twitter – but a calculator application will not cut it either. Build decent projects that postpone your limits while presenting your skills at the same time!”

Nair also said that the application blindly at each second list on LinkedIn is another error that job seekers make, often out of despair. “Most recruiters can feel a mass application to a mile distance.”

His advice: job seekers should apply for less jobs and personalize their curriculum vitae and their cover letter to show that they are really interested in the company and the role of position for which they apply.

Nair also stressed that a lack of personal brand had a negative impact on job seekers.

“If your only online presence is a private Instagram account and a LinkedIn profile with 12 connections – you are invisible for recruiters. The easiest way to stand out is to show your work publicly.”

He said that even if you are a beginner, they should share their projects and what they learn or simply document their trip.

An nonexistent networking game has also broken the prospects of job seekers to win their dream jobs, because most jobs are not found on employment panels but through people. However, another error made by job seekers is flooded their CV with fashionable words.

“” Worker and self-motivated team player with a passion for technology “cool. Everyone. Instead of stuffing your CV with generic adjectives, focus on: ✅ What problems you solved ✅ What tools you used ✅ What an impact you have had, let your work speak stronger than fashionable words. “”

Towards the end of his post, Nair said that another current error among job seekers awaits “perfect work” while adding that no one came to save them.

“Start with everything you have, so imperfect. The best opportunities arise for those who are already in motion – not those waiting to be ready.”
