Premier League leaders Liverpool come from behind to draw at Nottingham Forest, but Man City let the lead slip away at Brentford.
Nottingham Forest demonstrated their improbable Premier League titles in hold Liverpool to a 1-1 drawconfirming their victory over the leaders earlier in the season.
It took a Diogo Jota header from a corner in the 66th minute to give Liverpool a point which maintained their six-point lead over Forest, who moved into second place in their unlikely bid to qualify for the Champions League – and maybe more.
Forest remain the only team to have beaten Liverpool in the league this season – at Anfield in September – and were on the verge of recording an improbable home-and-away double against Arne Slot’s side after top scorer Chris Wood scored in the eighth minute.
Liverpool piled on the pressure later, but once again failed to overcome Forest, who started the season more likely in a relegation battle than a title competition.

More misfortunes for Man City, Premier League champions
Manchester City showed more fallibility late in the match as they squandered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at Brentford.
City conceded in the 82nd minute and again two minutes into injury time after Phil Foden scored twice for the struggling champions, who are simply battling to qualify for this season’s Champions League.
Before winning their last two league matches against Leicester and West Ham, City had won just one in nine to drop out of the Champions League qualifying places. During that poor run, City conceded two late goals to lose to Manchester United while losing a three-goal lead late on in a 3-3 draw against Feyenoord in the Champions League.
Yoane Wissa and Christian Norgaard were the scorers as Brentford left City in sixth place.

Chelsea battle for home draw against Bournemouth
Chelsea salvaged a 2-2 draw at home to Bournemouth thanks to Reece James’ free-kick in the fifth minute of added time, but saw their league winless run extend to five games.
Cole Palmer put Chelsea ahead with a cheeky 13th-minute finish for his 14th goal of the season, only for Bournemouth to respond as Antoine Semenyo won a penalty – converted by Justin Kluivert – and scored a goal up to 68th.
Chelsea remained in fourth place – at least until fifth-place Newcastle played on Wednesday. Graham Potter picked up his first win as West Ham manager as his new side beat Fulham 3-2.
Carlos Soler and Tomas Soucek scored first-half goals before Lucas Paqueta grabbed the crucial third for West Ham, who brought in Potter last week as a replacement for the dismissed Julen Lopetegui.
Potter’s first game in charge was a defeat at Aston Villa in the FA Cup on Friday. Alex Iwobi scored Fulham’s goals to make it 2-1 and then 3-2. West Ham moved 10 points clear of the relegation zone with the victory.
