The Nottingham forest awaits the results of the concussion controls on Taiwo Awoniyi to determine if the attacker can face Fulham this weekend.
Awoniyi underwent a broken nose in a challenge with the goalkeeper of Exeter Joe Whitworth on Tuesday evening and was treated for more than 10 minutes on the field in St James’ Park before leaving on a stretcher.
He emerged after the match to celebrate with his teammates after the shooting of shooting 4-2 during the equality of the fourth round of the FA Cup, but his availability for Saturday depends if the tests confirm that he was under concussion.
If the results determine that he did, he will be excluded for 12 days in accordance with the protocol and will not return before the match against Newcastle on February 23 at the earliest.
The forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo said: “We are waiting for the authorizations of the Concrete Protocols. I don’t know if he’s going to be available or not [for Fulham].
“He looks good. He smiles, he suffers, but in these situations, we have to be careful. The right protocols, two or three days to settle down and we will see if it is available. »»

Hudson-Odoi is back
The forest could have the Callum Hudson-Odoi winger available at Craven Cottage after a groin problem.
Nuno added: “He progresses. He joined the group yesterday and today too. He was part of the sessions and we still have tomorrow to assess it and also many players because of the blows.
“I am sure that [he will be in contention to be in the squad against Fulham] But we must still be sure that it is 100%. Let’s wait tomorrow.
The forest has overloaded this season – they are third in the Premier League, three points behind Arsenal placed in second row – partly due to the holding of key players and Nuno says that it is his work to find answers when injuries occur.
He said, “I don’t have to think [injuries] When this does not happen. When this happens, we must find solutions. This is what is important to us.
“We have solutions with regard to the depth of the team. It will be better if we can keep everyone healthy until the end of the season and we can participate in the two competitions until the end. We do not operate on “Ifs”. The important thing is that we have a balance and a good team. »»
