Restaurant Brands takes full control of Burger King China

(Reuters) – Restaurant Brands International said on Tuesday that it had bought participations in Burger King China to its local franchisee for around $ 158 million, which gives it an almost total property of the company.

The operator of the fast food chain said that he was committing his advisers to work to identify a new local partner to invest in the company.

The company has worked on its Chinese strategy for its Burger King company which was faced with the demand for softening on the second largest market, in the midst of an expenditure of pressed consumption and strong competition.

Restaurant brands have acquired the challenges of Burger King China from a TFI Asia Holdings BV portfolio company and a White Check Company Pangea Two Acquisition Holdings XXIII.

The restaurants of restaurants had 1,474 Burger King restaurants in China, on December 31, 2024.
