The next stand-up shows of the actor Samay Raina in Gujarat were canceled after the indignation of the remarks made by a panels in his reality TV show, India’s Gott. According to Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), Raina’s April performance tickets to Surat, Vadodara and Ahmedabad were removed from the BookmyShow ticket platform.
The controversy broke out after a clip featuring the influencer of the social media Ranveer Allahbadia, known as Beerbiceps, has become viral. In the video, Allahbadia made comments on parents and sexual relations that sparked a reaction and led to police complaints in Mumbai and Gowahati.
VHP spokesperson Hittendrasinh Rajput said: “It seems that these four programs were canceled due to the public’s indignation in Gujarat. Although tickets for these programs are available until morning (Wednesday) on BookmyShow, it seems that they were removed from the portal. »»
Ashvin Patel, regional secretary of VHP, also published a statement suggesting that the cancellations were in response to the anger of the public. “We are grateful to the inhabitants of Gujarat to have shown such vigilance. I also ask the organizers to refrain from organizing events of these people in Gujarat, “said Patel.
Ranveer Allahbadia has since apologized for what he called a “judgment time”, but the controversy continues to intensify.
Samay Raina lowers the episodes of `India’s Got latent ”
In his first public response, Raina announced Wednesday that he had deleted all the episodes of India Gott latent from his YouTube channel.
“Everything that happens was too much to manage for me. I deleted all the latent videos from my chain. My only goal was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will cooperate fully with all the agencies to ensure that their requests are concluded fairly. Thank you, ”published Raina on X (formerly Twitter).
The government had previously ordered YouTube to withdraw the controversial episode on Tuesday. Launched in June 2024, India Got Got Lalent had broadcast 18 episodes before its withdrawal.
