Thomas Tuchel says he is eager for his England team to “play with excitement” while he is preparing for his first match in charge of the three lions.

The country will look at the Wembley stadium as the finalists of Euro 2024 Welcome Friday evening.

Four days later, the three Lions will host Latvia in the same arena.

And before the matches, Tuchel was alongside Harry Kane speaking to the media while the anticipation of the match continues to grow.

Fans have seen England get closer if under Gareth Southgate, and the new German boss thinks that the reason they never exceeded the line is because the team was afraid of losing.

Now he wants to direct a reset across the team and build things from scratch in a different mentality.

He said, “I want us to play with excitement, hunger and the joy of winning. Acceptance of failure is one of them.

“They reminded me in the first lunch together and during the first training session why I was so excited by work.

“It is because of them. They were exceptional in the way they behaved and how they interacted in a group. On the ground, they were incredible, we had high quality and very clear training sessions.

“Everyone was open to give their best, good energy, good atmosphere.

“I felt the excitement in the camp. There is a buzz for the first game tomorrow. I have to make people believe in me.

“I think we are trying to implement style, structure and rhythm.

“In modern football and the quality of the opponent, Albania, and the respect you have to give to each opponent, especially on the ball, it is necessary that we were open to adapt.

“Whether in terms of structure or in programming and do what is necessary. I don’t think we can be ignorant and say that we do what we want and we do what we do and everyone will adapt.

“I want an emotional and hungry team. We must respect the quality of the Premier League and must reflect it. ”

Wembley is considered the football house and it should be full for the two Tuchel games in March.

The former boss of Chelsea admitted that he was nervous, which is perfectly normal, but he is delighted to feel the energy inside the stadium.

He added: “I hope so much that they will be able to see what I see daily. What I saw in recent days was incredible and was just a joy to watch and be part of it.

“So I hope that we can transport this energy and this hunger in the game tomorrow.

“It’s amazing, we have a full Wembley. It’s very exciting. A little nervous, I suppose, but that is part of it.

“I’m still a little nervous before the games, so this one will not be different. I hope we can prove the point and take the first step.”
