U.S. construction spending stagnated in December at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $2,152.6 billion, weaker than the expected 0.3% advance and November’s 0.5% increase.

The latest print represents a 3.0% increase from the November 2023 estimate of $2,090.7 billion.
