We had a few days of sun more last week, so I had good rides. Tuesday, my group rolled around the Chesbro and Uvas tanks, with a return to the road to Casa Loma. Date with roller hills and a rear wind wiper sky!

On Wednesday, my electric spare assistance kit arrived. Last November Swytch I had an excellent “Black Friday” sale and I was able to buy a spare kit that was delivered with two batteries. I was thinking of getting spare batteries anyway, and it didn’t cost much more than the batteries alone would normally cost. Now, I have a spare part in case my current engine is allowing, or in the future, I could add help to a different bike if you wish. For now, I was happy to get the additional batteries that considerably extend my range. I tested this with longer trips on Friday and Saturday, and I discovered that I could now go more than 3 and a half hours with assistance, or more than 50 miles. The Sunshine Party was over during the journey on Saturday, which was very misty. Then the rain arrived yesterday morning, so I cut my shorter walk and finished on the stationary bike inside. The rain should be there for the next few days.
