Liverpool wasted the chance to extend his advance at the top of the Premier League at 10 points, because they had to come from behind to avoid the defeat against Aston Villa on Wednesday evening.

During a sparkling meeting at Villa Park, Mohamed Salah gave the leaders of the League an early advance before the goals of Youri Tielemans and Ollie Watkins before the break turned the link to the head.

Trent Alexander-Arnold leveled things shortly after the hour when the Arne Slot team had to settle for a point.

The result leaves the eight points to the eight arsenal points, second, while the men of Unai Emery, who have not lost at home in the Premier League since August, remain in ninth.

How the action took place

A new retro nike was used for the first time, but it was a familiar story in the early stadiums when the league leaders began.

Virgil Van Dijk exploded from a tight angle after a threatening kick over three minutes while Diogo Jota was stabbing widely from an Andy Robertson Cup.

A few moments later, Jota then expanded when the Portuguese international might have done much better.

But at 18 minutes, Villa had the ball in the net. A two evenings between Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio – both making their full debut – culminated in a trained cross that was rendered by Ollie Watkins, but the out -of -game flag was quickly high.

Over half an hour, Andres Garcia offered Liverpool a chance when the villa man played Jota under pressure from Curtis Jones. Jota is disinterested in Salah who pulled in the roof of the net.

Ten minutes later, however, Villa was level. Rashford revealed again influential because his ball finally fell on Tielemans and the Belgian sent his shot beyond Alisson.

The host of the host was in place and, supported by a jubilant crowd of Villa Park, finished the return in the first half. The ball was widely developed in Lucas Digne who whipped a teasing crossing of the left so that Watkins returns home.

Liverpool players were sent early before restarting, with the slot team seeking to fight the tie in their favor.

And shortly after the hour mark, they were level – although with a slice of good fortune – when Alexander -Arnold pulled Emi Martinez on the wrong foot via a deviation from the Tyrone Mings leg.

He promised himself as a classic of the Premier League. The Reds should have taken the lead when replacing Darwin Nunez exploded with the goal at his mercy: a chance that left a niche with his head in his hands.

A few minutes later, Donyell Malen, also as a Villa substitute, could have put visitors in front, but Alisson was equal to her.

The Emery team then had a second prohibited goal after Jacob Ramsey found the net, but again, the flag was quickly raised.

Malen had a chance again to death, but, in the end, the points remained shared.
